Good evening, and welcome to my first official post on my blog. A bout of sickness, and a reluctance to engage in any mind-numbing viewing of Jeremy Kyle, has meant i've found myself strewn on the sofa with keyboard in hand. A long standing passion of mine has been to write. For some years now i have recorded events, situations (some good, some bad and some downright ridiculous) amusing anecdotes and the odd tearful dash to the bathroom, in endless notebooks that are stashed in a box behind my ever growing handbag collection. Failure to publish yet (as in honesty i haven't finished the book), has lead me to blogging's door. Writing is my form of escapism, a metaphorical dash in the other direction from the rat race that is the city. Putting pen to paper or tapping my thoughts into a keyboard, is an escape from the 5am starts, the glorified pub crawls (if it's in Mayfair it doesn't count as crass or binge drinking), the perfection of the 'broker laugh' and much much more.
